| Assises, A Hundred And One Chaises-oeuvres101 artists of the French and international contemporary art scene take the stage at the MACA – Museum of Contemporary Art of Acri (Cs), Italy, from July 5 to September 20 2009, each one bringing along his own distinct interpretation of the chair.
By: MACA press office Starting from a banal object each artist has developed his own creative vision. This event has been put into concrete form by the comparison between the peculiar individualities of each one of them. Anyone can enjoy this artistic ensemble because of the multiple, recreational approaches of which it is made, that are able to encourage the raising of a consciousness open to the effects of contemporary art: a mechanism of that dream generating machine that invites each one of us to respond to these 101 different languages with a new gaze and a new reflection. The artists surprise us both because of their way of looking at things, so diversified and eclectic, and the magic of their creations that draws us to interrogate ourselves, way beyond banality, on contemporary art practice and the art’s contribution to ordinary life.
