July 22, 2009 - PRLog -- It’s nearly time to get your glad rags on and join the party animals at ZSL London Zoo for the wildest night of the year – Zoo Nights!

For one night only, ZSL London Zoo will be opening its doors after dark, so that visitors can enjoy an incredible night out in the company of the most fascinating creatures on Earth.

Don’t miss our colossal new exhibit, Giants of the Galapagos, home to three giant tortoises. Feel free to have a nose around their sparkling new home, but you may need to give the tortoises some privacy…although Dirk may be considered old at 70 years, he still likes to get it on with the ladies!

Make sure you catch the special evening version of Animals in Action, our live animal show where the Zoo’s inhabitants show off their flying, leaping, and crawling skills, or go on an Animal Adventure in our new children’s zoo and have fun exploring the interactive exhibits by twilight.

Enjoy a drink - or two - from the bar as you take in the sounds of the Jazz band on the lawn, and make sure you end the night in style with our stunning light and dance finale in the central court.

Editors’ Notes

Zoo Nights at ZSL London Zoo is on Friday 7th August 2009. The event will begin at 6.30pm and finish at 10.00pm. Last entry is at 8.30pm.

ZSL London Zoo is open late to the public for only one night of the year.

Tickets can be bought online at www.zsl.org/zoonights for a 10% discount on the ticket price. Tickets can be bought in advance online up to 3pm on Friday 7th August.

Alternatively tickets can be bought on the gate on the night. Admission prices are as follows:-
Adult: £18.50
Child (3-15 years): £15.00
Under 3’s: Free
Concession (Student over 16, senior over 60, Disabled): £17.00
Prices shown include voluntary £1.70 donation to ZSL.

Visitors can bring their own picnic and food to Zoo Nights, but BBQs are not allowed on site at any time.
