Holiday Inn Melbourne-Viera Hotel & Conference Center Go Back to School for Devereux Florida

Aug. 5, 2009 - PRLog -- MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Holiday Inn Melbourne-Viera Hotel & Conference Center is collecting school supplies for the developmentally disabled children at Devereux Florida in Orlando. Donations will be accepted at the hotel during the Viera/Suntree Area Business Council meeting on Tuesday, August 11 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

“We are excited to be collecting school supplies to help disabled children in our area have what they need to succeed in the upcoming school year,” said Samir Patel, CHA General Manager at the Holiday Inn Melbourne-Viera Hotel & Conference Center. “Devereux Florida makes an important impact across our area and I am pleased to be helping them continue their critical mission to serve our community’s children.”

The Holiday Inn is collecting every item imaginable to provide the developmentally disabled children with the tools they need to excel in school. Some of the items on the non-profit organization’s wish list include pencils, paper, glue, loose leaf binders, safety scissors, protractors and even backpacks. The items will all be donated to the children that would normally have to go without these critical items.

“Even the smallest items will make the biggest difference towards helping disabled children,” Samir Patel said. “Please feel free to bring these items anytime to the hotel, but especially during the Area Business Council Meeting, and we will make sure they get passed on to the students.”
