Aug. 12, 2009 - PRLog -- The Legal Defenders, P.C., are proud to announce upgrades to thelegaldefenders.com website.  The Legal Defenders, P.C., website has had over 26,000 visitors in about 2 years.  The website has information about a wide variety of Illinois criminal offenses of general interest to the public.  A new section entitled "Criminal Cases and Immigration Consequences" has been added.  This section discusses, in great detail, the immigration consequences of a criminal charge to defendants who are not United States citizens.  A handy list has been added that includes questions that immigrants should not answer when they are arrested and questioned about their immigration status.  The "DUI/Drunk Driving" section has been updated to include a detailed and easy to understand explanation of the Monitoring Device Permit and the Blood Alcohol Interlock Ignition Device.  A new section has been added discussing what you should do, and not do, if you are arrested and an explanation of your Miranda rights is included as a bonus.
