518 West Announces Its Participation in Restaurant Week

Aug. 21, 2009 - PRLog -- 518 West Italian Café has joined Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week.  Select restaurants in the capital area have elected to participate in the weeklong special that will provide a three-course prix fixe dinner for either $20 or $30 per person, depending on the restaurant.

“We are excited to be a part of this great event,” said 518 West’s executive chef and general manager, Blaine Neirman.  “We typically have very affordable prices, but this will allow our customers to get a greater taste of our menu for an incredibly reasonable rate.”

518’s prix fixe menu will include:
•   Mache and Lobster Salad with Holly Grove Chevre, Local Cherry Tomatoes and Sherry Chive Vinaigrette
•   Braised Pork with Rosemary and Roasted Garlic Gnocchi Ragout
•   NC Peach and Blueberry Cobbler with House Vanilla Gelato

The event will take place from Monday, August 24 through Sunday August 30.  518 West is one of more than 25 local restaurants to participate in the event. Their price point will be $20.

“Our customers can expect to get a real sense of our cuisine like,” said Neirman.  “We are dedicated to using the best and freshest ingredients and that taste translates into all of these dishes.”
