Money First wins "Best Rap Group" at 2009 Underground Music Awards at BB Kings in NYC

Aug. 26, 2009 - PRLog -- New York, NY- Trenton, New Jersey's own, Money First was honored with the Underground Music Award for "Best Rap Group." Money First has actually been nominated for the last few years and this is the first time they took an award home. The four person group consists of Boom Blake, Ill Kayn, Tranzatick and JP- two of which are brothers. They have been pushing hard and are getting recognized for their movement. JP: "I always knew we would win an award and be recognized but it just takes time.  Everything happens in due time and now was our time."

Boom Blake: "This is one of the greatest moments of my life.  While accepting the award I thought of everything it took to win.  The days and nights in the studio.  The long hours driving out of state rain sleet snow or hail storm to perform and do shows.. This award is an honor that lets us know that we are not the only ones who recognize our hard work. "

Ill Kayn: "We worked hard for this.  When they called our name we were backstage in the dressing room preparing to perform and didnt even realize they called us.  When I realized they called our name it was like the earth stopped and I hope to relive that moment again."

Tranzatick: "I was not at the award ceremony as I have started college and am trying to further an education for myself.  Im so proud of my group / brothers for holding it down.  I watched the award show online via damatrixstudios.com and thats a moment I will be proud of for the rest of my life. "
