My Tech Team Launches New Website

Sept. 22, 2009 - PRLog -- Mr. Jason D. Greenwell, the owner of My Tech Team, talked with several developers about copywriting for the website, but then realized he could probably use a facelift for his original site.  He chose Productum by Woo Themes in Fresh Blue for his base site, and then Nikole Gipps of NHG Consulting added from there.

This project’s modifications include:

Custom PHP/HTML/CSS/Wordpress programming for the order form, footer widgets, menu bars, and sidebars.

Copywriting and typography assistance.

Customizations for the Lifestream Plugin for Wordpress, featuring the On Stage Free Icon Set.

Aquaticus Social – Free social media icons for the feeds at the bottom right.

WPSEO and Google XML Sitemaps Generator plugins.

Custom cut-out images for the featured images section.

The owner is very pleased with how it turned out, and Nikole enjoyed this project because she got to work with graphics and icons more than she usually does. You can see the final result live now at http://www.mytechteam.net

They did have one noteworthy snag though … They learned the lesson of saving work before upgrading! The theme had been upgraded during development, and what they thought would be an easy upgrade of the modified version turned out to be hours of work. A few lines of code didn’t work with the existing site, so lot of time was spent fishing through to figure out where the problem was.  The problem was resolved in the end though, which was important to in terms of presenting a quality website.
