Follow on Google News | Dave Peiser Elected To Lead Class-ACT Board Of DirectorsThe Board of Directors of the Encinitas, California based non-profit Class-ACT, elected new president Dave Peiser at its August Board Meeting. He replaces Brenda Smith, who stepped down after serving as board president for 2 years.
By: Class-ACT “It is very exciting for me to take this position at this time,” said Mr. Peiser. “Things are really happening at Class-Act. Our first art exchange with the developing world has been running now for 8 months and we’re visiting the school in Cambodia in October. Our local schools have gotten very excited about getting involved with the art exchange program, and we are working on some possible sponsorship situations with local businesses that could really help us expand our efforts. I’m very happy to serve as the new board president.” Class-ACT, a non-profit organization based in Encinitas, California, started in 1998 to bring more art programs to schools, and has in these ten years served thousands of students. With our new mandate we now provide local children with not only quality art programming, but also allow them to develop a sense of global responsibility toward children in other parts of the world and in doing so, the chance to grow as individuals and as committed citizens. Anyone who would like to participate in Class-ACT’s new mission of structuring a Children’s Global Art & Culture Connection can help by calling Niels Lund, Executive Director of CLASS-ACT at (760) 436-3729, or find out more from their website http://www.ClassActArts.org.
