What is the College and Registry of Mental Health Counseling?
The College is established to raise public awareness of experiences that contribute to mental well-being and healthy relationships with self and others. The Registry is an international roster of diverse individuals committed to standards of professional counseling and to personal and professional development in therapeutic listening and counseling.

How is the College different from other counseling associations and professional bodies?
The inclusive universal scope of the College invites the general public to participate in the democratization of therapeutic listening and counseling, as a means to achieve a unique vision.

What is the vision of the College?
The vision is the realization of a society of optimal mental wellness by means of making counseling knowledge and therapeutic listening available to everyone.

What is the philosophy and mission of the College?
Rather than the sole property of certain professional groups, the special skills and knowledge of counseling and therapeutic listening are the shared rightful possession of humanity. Everyone practices counseling as a fundamental human activity, and therefore the primary mission of the College is to make this activity both intentional and effective in the life of every participant.

How does the College accomplish the mission?
The mission is achieved by engaging people in the community, using group sessions and internet meetings, in the practice of therapeutic listening and by providing a structure for increasing the level of proficiency in four levels: therapeutic listener, intern counselor, full counselor, and supervizing counselor.

Members of the College receive free counselor training and consultation: interactive and individualized to suit your needs. View the sample here from College President, Daniel Keeran, MSW. http://vimeo.com/5937875
