Jason Z. Schroeder Guitars Recieves Premier Gear Award from Premier Guitar

Boutique guitar builder receives Premier Gear Award for the Radio Lane

Oct. 29, 2009 - PRLog -- The Schroeder Guitars Radio Lane has been awarded a Premier Gear Award for the month of November.

The Premier Gear Award is an honor bestowed upon a piece of gear—whether guitar, amp, effect, or other gear— that has been extraordinary enough to impress the staff of Premier Guitar. Despite the high quality of all gear reviewed by Premier Guitar, only exemplary items earn the award.

“Schroeder’s passion for guitars does not stop at design and aesthetic considerations, however,” says reviewer Ben Friedman, “as the Radio Lane equally excels in terms of playability and tone. The guitar is lightweight, resonant and balanced in both standing and sitting positions, which can be a drawback with this type of design. Despite its semi-hollow design, the Radio Lane was not at all neck heavy. In fact, I found the neck very comfortable due to its carve and finish. This combined with the excellent fretwork makes this guitar play very easily.” Premier Guitar awarded the Radio Lane a rating of 5.0, the highest possible rating. "We are deeply honored at Schroeder Guitars to be recognized with the Premier Gear Award for the Radio Lane model," says owner Jason Schroeder. "We appreciate the affirmation of this guitar that we believe in so strongly. Our intention with the Radio Lane model was to take some of the best features of classic designs and combine these with modern features and styling to create something familiar but unique."

"It should be noted that we review a number of stellar products in every issue of Premier Guitar," says Premier Guitar's editorial director Joe Coffey. "However, the guitars, amps, effects, etc. that we designate as Premier Gear Award winners are in a league of their own. In other words, when you see the Premier Gear Award logo in a Premier Guitar magazine review or a premierguitar.com web exclusive review, that basically means that it blew our socks off.”
