Best Passenger Charter Airline Jet2.com Best Cargo Charter Airline Volga-Dnepr Airlines Best General Aviation Operator Gama Aviation Best Airport Farnborough Best Handling Agent Inflite Jet Centre Stansted The Global Excellence Award Tyrolean Jet Services BACA’s Annual Excellence Awards honour quality and distinguished service within the air charter industry, and are voted for by BACA members who work in relevant fields. Dick Gilbert, Chairman, BACA, said that despite the tough economic times, the air charter industry continues to produce quality and excellent service. He congratulated the winners of the various awards, which had a special significance this year, it being BACA’s 60th anniversary. The guests at the awards lunch also contributed generously to the BACA charity, Under Tree Schools, which supports education in southern Sudan. A total of £2,800 was raised. The finalists were: Best Passenger Charter Airline finalists: Jet2.com, ScotAirways, Titan Airways. Best Cargo Airline finalists: MK Airlines, Titan Airways, Volga-Dnepr Airlines. Best General Aviation Operator finalists: Gama Aviation, Hangar 8, London Executive Aviation. Best Airport finalists: East Midlands, Farnborough, Stansted. Best Handling Agent finalists: Inflite Stansted, Northolt Jet Centre, Signature Luton. Global Excellence Award finalists: DC Aviation (Stuttgart), Jetex Flight Support (Dubai), Tyrolean Jet Services.
