Gotham Public Relations To Debut Relative-Space Design Showroom in New York

Nov. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- Gotham Public Relations is pleased to debut Relative-Space, an exciting custom-design flooring and carpeting company with a new showroom showcasing sustainable and LEED-compliant products, located at 2 Bond Street near Broadway in New York, will host a colorful designer event on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 starting at 6:30PM.

The evening’s entertainment will begin with a PDT-inspired tasting menu of paired delicacies, liqueurs and cocktails created by award-winning mixologist-owner Jim Meehan.

Press and A&D tours of the Canadian company’s new ‘Relative-Space’ and custom flooring eco-installations will be conducted by co-founder Tyler Greenberg, along with German architect-host of the evening, Matthias Hollwich of the New York architecture and concept firm HKWN. Hollwich, known for his globally inventive work in green design as seen most recently at the Venice Architecture Biennale, also co-founded Architizer, a newly-launched website serving the A&D community.

A Pratt Institute student window-design competition and Relative-Space scholarship award by jury will take place onsite at the event. All guests will participate in the selection out of 15 students’ work to win a $1,000 grant for ongoing design work. The theme is ‘the natural world, inside-out’ and will be installed through January 2010 at Relative-Space. The student tuition campaign will be annual in scope, with multiple participating design programs and universities.
