Nov. 18, 2009 - PRLog -- Overnight delivery services, or the 24 hour delivery service, is one of the most in-demand type of services that courier companies could provide. The first international courier company in the Philippines that provided this kind of service is DHL. It was in the 1970s that DHL first offered the overnight delivery services for their customers, including OFWs (overseas Filipino workers). However, this services became popular not only with DHL, but also with other international courier companies, one being FedEx Express.

But aside from international courier companies such as DHL and FedEx Express, other courier companies have also offered this kind of services. LBC Express introduced the first 24 hour package delivery philippines served by a Philippine-based company. LBC Express grew in the industry because of this unique service.

LBC Express or Luzon Brokerage Corporation is a courier company largely based in the Philippines. Although the company first operated as a brokerage office, the company eventually grew as a full scale courier company that provide local and international shipping, particularly aimed to provide shipping services to OFWs. The one service that LBC became popular for is their 24 hour package delivery philippines service.

Although DHL was the first to provide an overnight delivery service, or 24 hour delivery services, LBC Express soon followed to provide this same service for Filipinos, which is far cheaper and efficient. LBC Express is also known to provide this kind of service for international shipping. OFWs that wanted to send their packages quickly made use of this service to quickly send packages and the popular "Balikbayan" box to their families back home.

Different companies have now provided the same kind of service that LBC Express offered, the 24 hour package delivery philippines services. Popular ones are 2GO and AIR21. Being operated by Aboitiz Transport System (ATS), a transport and logistics company of Aboitiz & Company (ACO), 2GO is said to provide the same service locally. AIR21 is able to provide such service mainly because of FedEx. AIR21 serves all the pick-up, customs clearance and delivery needs of FedEx in the country.

International companies such as FedEx Express have also provided the same service that DHL introduced into the market. Although the market of overnight delivery became larger compared in the past, LBC Express is still known as the sole courier company that proliferated the 24 hour delivery service market in the Philippines.
