Celebrate the Season with Surflight's cast of Ebenezer

Nov. 24, 2009 - PRLog -- Join us in the festive atmosphere of Buckalews Tavern (Centre St in Beach Haven NJ), decorated for the holiday season, to help raise  money to benefit all of the programs Surflight Theatre provides for the community throughout the year.

Don’t miss this fabulous opportunity to meet and mingle with Surflight’s cast of Ebenezer – A Musical Christmas Carol, and the star of the show, Scrooge himself, John Davidson.
Enjoy a bountiful buffet of festive fare, kindly donated by Buckalews.  Christmas carols around the Piano.  A full cash bar will be available including Buckalew’s signature Christmas Cocktail – A Special just for this event!

The Musical Christmas Carol “EBENEZER” is based on Charles Dickens’ classic Holiday masterpiece.  Playing at Surflight December 4th to 20th.
This story is a wonderful “Ghost Tale.” Ebenezer Scrooge, is an unhappy, cruel man, and much to his dismay, he is visited by four Ghosts that take him through a musical journey of his life on Christmas Eve.  
Just as Scrooge learns that “Saying Merry Christmas” to someone is a Wonderful feeling, we hope that this musical will be a Loving Christmas Greeting to all of you.

John Davidson will play Scrooge in this production.  Although he was the host of two of America's favorite shows, Hollywood Squares and That's Incredible!, John Davidson was first a singer and dancer on stage. He made his Broadway debut in the 1964 production of Foxy, which also starred Bert Lahr.   John also starred in The Hallmark Hall Of Fame version of The Fantasticks and received The Theatre Guild Award for his portrayal of Curly in the Broadway revival of Oklahoma. His vast recording career includes thirteen albums and led John to headline at the major Las Vegas showrooms at Caesar’s Palace, the Las Vegas Hilton and the MGM Grand. His feature film career includes The Happiest Millionaire, Airport 80, Edward Scissorhands, and The Squeeze.
