Kangol Ladies SS13 Release

Nov. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Seventy-five years ago in a remote corner of Northwest England Kangol was born. Founder Jacques Spreiregen created the name by combining the K from knitting, the ANG from angora, and the OL from wool as the company specialised in knitted hats made from these yarns.
To celebrate the 75th anniversary Kangol has introduced a special collection of styles representing different eras and featuring heritage styling details such as the original Knitting Needle. The style numbers represent the year each shape was invented: The Spitfire 1938; The 504 Cap 1954: The Casual 1983: and The 575 cap 2013. Each style is available in luxurious summer weight worsted wool, traditionally used in fine suiting material.
Kangol was born in England but raised in the streets of New York in the 80’s. As a salute to the brands heritage Kangol have hats made in both England and America. The Made in the USA collection consists of 6 shapes with 3 main styles: Buckle, Space & 2-Tone. The Buckle is available in a trilby and pork pie shape featuring a gold chunky metal buckle fastening. The luminescent two-tone finish on the Space range is created using special dye pigments sprayed onto the hats and finished with a delicate chiffon band tied by hand, giving a feminine finish to these styles.
Finally, the 2-Tone group has and open weave straw, which gives the hat great visual texture, plus it also gives the hat natural ventilation.
Also in the SS13 collection is the colorful Women’s Straw range, a must have fashion accessory this summer. Key styles are coated to give a subtle sheen with pretty printed chiffon bands knotted at the side. Created using a crochet stitch with stripe design, the Colette takes the best elements from the classic cap to fashion an ultra feminine refined style. The Pattern Boater is a key trend this season available is Navy/Tan or for a splash of colour, in Sunburst/Tan
