Real Estate Agents Missing Out On New Business, Profits, Clients

Dec. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- A survey is checking how many home-buyers have been thanked by their real estate agent with a gift - and how many would use them again if they did.

The survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=5q_2foDchUNmhF0ugLKcIqkA_3d_3d is asking home-buyers how many homes they've bought, their price range, whether they dealt with a real estate franchise, boutique agency or the home-owner, what gift/s they received (if any) and how much they estimate the gift cost.

The survey, organised by Elizabeth Ball of gift-giving blog, http://gifts-by-the-stars-online.com and astrology gift report website, http://www.itsinthestarsonline.com asks whether homebuyers would recommend the real estate agent and use them again for their next home if they received a gift.

"Considering it's so much easier to earn money from an existing client, real estate agents are losing tens of thousands of dollars worth of commission from future referrals by not thanking their clients with a gift," said Elizabeth Ball.

"For less than $100 - a fraction of their commission - they can give a thoughtful gift that clients will proudly and happily show to their family and friends. Thanking them with a gift that they are thrilled to receive is a very easy way to win recommendations and repeat clients," she said.

"Many of these homebuyers have bought more than three homes. IIn this economic climate, it is really surprisingly easy for real estate agents to secure a lucrative stream of commission when they thank their clients with a thoughtful gift."
