Nova USA Wood Products Named as Inc. 500 Honoree for 2009

The Inc. 500 list is comprised of 500 privately-owned companies showing the largest amount of growth over a three year period. From 2005 to 2008, Nova's revenue grew 1,041%, from $2.2 million dollars annually to $25.2 million dollars, earning the 190th spot on the list. The Inc. 500 Industry Median for the construction category was 54.2% growth.

“The only way to grow is to continue to expand product lines and take market share. You've got to do it better if you want to expand in this market,” says Steve Getsiv, Nova's managing partner.
The key components to Nova USA's success have been its information technology systems and its strong online marketing efforts. Nova USA's website, www.novausawood.com, provides its customers with a wide variety of information regarding wood product attributes and explanations of mechanical properties such as Janka hardness, bending strength, density, and many others. The database back end of the website also serves as the inventory, purchasing, and sales center for Nova operations, affording the company instantaneous tracking of all products, shipments, and inventory levels. The fusion of Nova's web sites and internal support systems maximizes company efficiency, a key contributing factor to Nova's rapid growth.

Nova's growth also stems from the direct presence and oversight of its offices abroad.
