Jan. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- IBG is proud to announce the inclusion of four paintings from artist Nejla Tavakol have been added to the silent auction being held in conjunction with the wine tasting event on January 23, 2010.

Born in Tehran, Iran, Nejla Tavakol has dedicated most of her time to her son and daughter and the art of painting.   As a young girl, she was interested in the art of painting and was able to execute beautiful paintings and later when she was an adult, she completed her skill at the studio of renowned artists, Mr. Vishkai and Esfandiary.

Unfortunately, a few years later she was diagnosed with a deadly disease, which caused her to be hospitalized. Now her battle was fighting death. Her hopes of living and dedicating her life to her son and daughter, she did not succumb and won the battle.  After she was back home from the hospital, she found herself in her studio and started to paint again. The story behind her works is… “I am not afraid of dying, living is harder to face and one should never give up hopes in what she/he wants to achieve”. The Grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.

“Wings of Hope”, “Darkness of the Cave Cannot Hide Blueness of the Water”, “Hope Opens Doors Even in the Sky” and “Volcanoes of Hope” have all been donated for the auction.

In addition to the artwork, attendees will sample wines from France, Italy, Chile and Argentina, and will be eligible to bid on other donations from generous sponsors, including items from Dior Beauty, Chef Gavin Mills (Bastide), modcloth.com, Louden Swain, “The Bonnie Hunt Show”, “The Soup” with Joel McHale, Mark Salling (Glee), “The Office”, The Cheesecake Factory, Sprinkles and others. All proceeds from the silent auction and wine tasting will go to support IBG Inc’s charitable efforts throughout the year.

Founded in late 2008, IBG (http://www.ibginc.org) established a non-profit focusing on utilizing the power of philanthropy through the arts to benefit a broad range of charities worldwide.  We act as a “fundraiser facilitator” for underfunded and start-up charities that would otherwise struggle with the logistics and costs associated with event fundraising. This work has taken on a critical importance as the economy has been slow to recover, and we find ourselves with increasingly frequent requests for assistance.
