July 21, 2011 - PRLog -- The last time fans of The X-Files saw David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reunite, it was for a quick few minutes on the red carpet of Duchovny's New York City play, "The Break of Noon," but thanks to local non-profit IBG Inc, the two television icons will be sitting down together for an hour of candid discussion in Los Angeles-- and it is all going to a great cause!

On July 30th 2011 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, Duchovny and Anderson will take part in IBG Inc's sold out Conversation Series event, this time foregoing the moderator to just grill each other on X-Files memories and more recent work experiences. Set in an intimate room open only to a limited number of donors, those in attendance will be able to get in on the question and answer session, as well, and series creator Chris Carter will even be popping by. So if there have been lingering questions since the end of the series or the last few frames of the films rolled, there shouldn't be by the end of this event!

The event may be sold out, but don’t despair! A DVD of the Q&A will also be produced and sold by IBG Inc. Pre-orders are now being taken on the website at http://www.ibginc.org/store.

Proceeds from this one-of-a-kind event are going to SA-YES, a non-profit that provides guidance to South African youth that enables them to "develop their skills, further their education and source suitable housing, in order for them to participate in society as independent, mature, responsible adults."

Gillian Anderson is an actress, writer and director, best known for her role as Dana Scully in The X-Files. She has since starred in numerous films, including Johnny English Reborn, Shadow Dancer, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, Boogie Woogie, Straightheads, The House of Mirth and The Last King of Scotland, as well as mini-series such as Great Expectations, Bleak House, The Crimson Petal and the White, Any Human Heart and Moby Dick.

David Duchovny is an actor, writer and director born and raised in New York City. Duchovny currently plays novelist Hank Moody on Showtime’s Californication now filming its fifth season, and audiences fondly recall his work as Fox Mulder in Fox Television's The X-Files. Duchovny recently starred alongside Vera Farmiga in Goats and Demi Moore in the film The Joneses. In addition, Duchovny has starred in numerous films, including The TV Set, Things We Lost in the Fire, Trust the Man, Connie and Carla, Evolution and House of D(which Duchovny also wrote and directed).

Chris Carter has been described by Time magazine as a "televisionary." Carter took a concept about aliens and the search for the truth and created nothing less than a cultural phenomenon with his legendary television show The X-Files. The show ran a remarkable nine seasons on FOX and won the Golden Globe for best drama two times. Chris’s production company – Ten Thirteen Productions – has been responsible for 201 episodes of The X-Files, 67 episodes of Millennium, 9 episodes of Harsh Realm, 13 episodes of The Lone Gunmen, and the X-Files feature films, Fight the Future and I Want to Believe.

Founded in late 2008, IBG Inc (http://www.ibginc.org) established a non-profit focusing on utilizing the power of philanthropy through the arts to benefit a broad range of charities worldwide. We act as a “fundraiser facilitator” for underfunded, under publicized, and start-up charities that would otherwise struggle with the logistics and costs associated with event fundraising. This work has taken on a critical importance as the economy has been slow to recover, and we find ourselves with increasingly frequent requests for assistance.
