Atlanta Magician Turner Receives Membership, Award from London's Magic Circle

Feb. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Atlanta-based corporate magician and professional speaker Joe M. Turner has been elected to membership in The Magic Circle in London, England, with the unanimous approval of the organization's governing Council.  His election carried the distinction of an immediate advancement to the degree of Associate of the Inner Magic Circle (A.I.M.C.) with silver star, an elevation only awarded to the rare applicant who demonstrates advanced levels of performance skill and professional accomplishment.

Founded in 1905, The Magic Circle (http://www.themagiccircle.co.uk) is one of the world's most elite magical societies.  It has an exclusive membership of fewer than 1500 members from 40 countries around the globe.  Notable members include American superstar David Copperfield, Las Vegas legends Siegfried & Roy and Lance Burton, and British television icons Paul Daniels and David Berglas.  The membership roster even extends to the British royal family, as Prince Charles auditioned for and was accepted to membership in 1975.

Turner has won numerous awards in the United States, including being named Greater Atlanta Magician of the Year (2000) and FEA Atlanta Magician of the Year (2009).  He is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and currently serves on that organization's Executive Committee and Board of Directors.  He is a member of the Society of American Magicians and the Academy of Magical Arts.  Turner is the only Georgia magician ever to have performed in all three showrooms at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, California.
