Feb. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Detroit, MI - The Homer Ferguson Foundation’s Programming supports these population groups with the “By His Grace” Thanksgiving Event;  Lifting through Gifting;  and a pilot program with close contact with the Michigan Department of Corrections, the Prisoner Re-entry Project.

Bobby Ferguson’s commitment to his father’s Foundation reaches not only deeply into the Detroit community and throughout the United States, but also into poorer nations where the basics such as medical care, potable water and education don’t even exist.

Haiti Earthquake Receives Unprecedented Support

The Homer Ferguson Foundation in cooperation with another foundation committed  to a month-long, radio-thon to raise their goal of funding the relief effort in Haiti.  “The major direction for these funds will go to Doctors Without Borders and the Missionary Flight International,” said Bobby Ferguson.  

“These organizations have proven their commitment to the people of Haiti and have remained to support the Haitian people when other organizations have already dispersed,” continued Detroit’s Bobby Ferguson.

The Foundation’s commitment of covers the administrative and promotional costs for the month-long broadcast of the radio-thon.  “My father would be proud to know that his company, Ferguson Enterprises was helping the Haitian people dig out from the worst catastrophe they have ever known.”

Ferguson Enterprises and Clean Water

Ferguson Enterprises has been a huge part of southeast Michigan’s water and sewage infrastructure since 1968.  The Ferguson Underground Utility Division has installed over 400,000 lineal feet of water and sewage main.  This division has performed upgrades to improve the domestic water service and fire protection flows within the community.
