| Center for Financial Inclusion Partners with Boston Interactive to Create The Smart Campaign WebsiteBoston Interactive is pleased to announce the launch of the new website for The Smart Campaign, led by the Center for Financial Inclusion at ACCION International.
The Center for Financial Inclusion partnered with Boston Interactive to design and develop a complete website for The Smart Campaign. The overarching goal is for the new website to be the place where microfinance lenders and others can learn, endorse, and participate in the Campaign. The Campaign’s new website incorporates many enhanced features including interactive tools and resources, a news and events area, and an opportunity to join the campaign and pledge support. “The goal of this initiative was to create a global site that represented the Center’s and The Smart Campaign’s top-tier standing in the microfinance marketplace and to attract participants form the microfinance industry around the world to pledge their support for fair and equitable lending practices” said Jim Keller, VP of Interactive Services at Boston Interactive. The Smart Campaign’s mission is to unite microfinance leaders around the common goal of instituting client protection to better serve clients and strengthen the microfinance industry. Since the Campaign’s global prominence is growing, its website needed to be aligned with its strategic mission to promote, inform, and service the microfinance industry. To achieve that goal, Boston Interactive’ “We were tasked with the challenge of educating, engaging, and inspiring industry leaders to get involved. To accomplish this, we focused on increasing awareness of The Smart Campaign, drawing visitors to the site and converting visitors into active, connected members of the community” said Chuck Murphy, Founder and CEO of Boston Interactive. “The new website will help boost the Campaign’s reputable mission and provide interactive avenues for advocacy and involvement.” About The Smart Campaign – The Smart Campaign is a global effort to unite microfinance leaders around a common goal: to institute client protection to better serve clients and strengthen the microfinance industry. The Campaign officially launched in October of 2009 and has over 900 endorsements from microfinance institutions and microfinance networks, associations, investors, supporting organizations, and individuals.
