On his inspirations for the series, Desmond says, “I was stirred by the notion of how birds take flight and when their wings flap, they produce winds, which in turn produce waves.” Desmond shares further, “And I believe that the combination of today's design and technology will allow our local fashion industry to soar to greater heights.”

A multiple award-winning designer acknowledged for his infinite creativity and imagination, Desmond Yang took inspiration from the word „wave‟ and the Chinese saying, “无风不起浪”, to produce accessories that were transformational.

“I was stirred by the notion of how birds take flight and when their wings flap, they produce winds, which in turn produce waves,” Desmond shares. “And I believe that the combination of today‟s design and technology will allow our local fashion industry to soar to greater heights.”

His collection of fashion accessories represents a combination of power, strength, stamina, grace and intensity, seeking to lift the spirits and moods of those who wear them.

“Soaring”
A symbolism of soaring to greater heights, it is adaptable to be worn like a mask on the face.

“Independence”
A representation of when a bird spreads its wings for its very first fly towards the sky, it embodies the flight of independence and confidence one takes in every first step in life.

“United”
A sign of unity, it will be the centre of all attention wherever it is.

The series of limited edition fashion creations by Ben Wu and Desmond Yang will be premiered first at the Audi Fashion Festival 2010 together with the Samsung Wave smartphone. The collections will then be made available for sale exclusively at the Samsung Flagship Store at VivoCity, BenWU boutique at Mandarin Gallery and abyzz by desmond yang boutiques at Orchard Central and Millenia Walk from mid-May 2010 onwards.
