Toyota and Lexus Still Quality Vehicles According to a J.D. Power and Associates Report and Forbes

April 14, 2010 - PRLog -- According to a J.D. Power and Associates dependability report released last month, Toyota and Lexus remain top quality vehicles. Dave Sargent, J.D. Power's Vice President of Global Vehicle Research said that both brands stayed fairly steady in terms of quality. He also stated that the Toyota brand consumers have a high consumer perception of the brand's quality.

Forbes.com (http://www.forbes.com/2010/04/07/worst-made-cars-lifestyle-vehicles-gm-ford-chrysler_2.html) has just reported that although GM brand vehicles are selling well doesn't mean they rate the best in durability or value. Out of seven vehicles on their list of the "worst-made cars on the road," four are GM, including the GMC Canyon, Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Aveo, Chevy Colorado,  The list also includes Chrysler's Dodge Nitro, Jeep Wrangler and the Ford F-250 pickup truck.

Yet even with all the recent recall news, Toyota was nowhere to be seen on the list. Toyota's sales were up by over 40% last month while Lexus reported sales gains of 42%. Forbes also reports that many analysts still stand by their appraisals of Toyota as being well-made vehicles.
