Lithium Ion Battery for mobile and off-grid power systems by Clayton Power

April 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Clayton Power have made it easy to install and use lithium ion battery technology as consumption batteries in for example your vehicle, onboard your boat or in your residence. We have designed a complete series of lithium ion battery packs that comes in different sizes from 100Ah up to 400Ah of either 12VDC or connect two lithium battery packs in serial for 24VDC. All lithium battery power packs come preinstalled with a power plug and a censoring connection and have been designed so it easily connects to the rest of the power solution. The censoring connection allows for data like cell voltage and cell temperature to be sent to the Clayton Power BMS (Battery Management System).

The lithium ion battery technology provides some obvious new advantages on the market for mobile and off-grid power. Lithium ion batteries are smaller in size and weigh only a third of traditional lead batteries. Also lithium ion batteries allows for much higher charge- and discharge which mean that you will be able to use demanding power applications that would normally require a generator or grid connection. Lithium ion batteries are not limited by the chemistry like lead/acid batteries and can thereby be charged much faster, making it perfect for the mobile market. The lithium ion batteries have a superior lifetime cycle and don’t need any maintenance.
