Jersey Joe’s Pizzeria, specializing in New York-style pizza, has leased 1,400 square feet of restaurant space and is slated to open for business in June. Regency was represented by Sperry Van Ness GASC Commercial. According to Chris Neidhardt, Regency Centers’ leasing agent, the 59,600 square foot shopping center is anchored by a 45,600 square foot Publix alongside national retailers such as Great Clips and Dry Clean USA. Buckwalter Place Shopping Center is located in the Buckwalter Commercial Development which is experiencing rapid growth with two new major tenants under development: Regency is the leading national owner, operator, and developer of grocery-anchored and community shopping centers. As of December 31, 2009, the Company owned 400 retail properties, including those held in co-investment partnerships. Including tenant-owned square footage, the portfolio encompassed 53 million square feet located in top markets throughout the United States. Since 2000 Regency has developed 201 shopping centers, including those currently in-process, representing an investment at completion of $3.0 billion.
