Follow on Google News | Voices From Out There- Canadian Expats Gain A Podcast VoiceThe Canadian Expat Association, working to boost the visibility of Canadians resident abroad is now posting podcasts on it’s website featuring influential Canadians living and working around the globe.
By: Allan Nichols “Ever since Canadians began living and working abroad there has been a lack of understanding about the contributions these extraordinary individuals make both in their local communities but also back in Canada.” Says Allan Nichols, president of the Canadian Expat Association. “This opportunity will allow expats to tell their story.” In the first podcast, accomplished Canadian lawyer, Lisa Tomas, living in London England tells listeners about some of the work that she is doing now and how she plans on transferring the valuable knowledge that she is gaining back to Canada. Lisa is a perfect example of how Canadians abroad build experiences and then bring those skills back to Canada. “Ultimately, all Canadians benefit from knowledge gained abroad by our expats as they help to improve Canadian competitiveness on the global stage.” Mr. Nichols explains. The podcasts are hosted by Rupinder Nagra, a Canadian actor and Genie nominee for his work as the leading actor in the 2007 critically acclaimed hit “Amal”. The podcasts can be accessed from the Canadian Expat Association website at http://www.thecanadianexpat.com . # # # The association serves the 2.7 million Canadians that are currently outside of Canada. Located around the globe, our members include; Individuals, Corporations, Embassies & Consulates, Social and business organizations - All of them Canadians abroad End
