By: Creative Coop Publishing, LLC Included in the Expo’s lineup of workshop, events, speakers, exhibitors, and fun for families are E-waste recycling efforts sponsored by ESCO Processing and Recycling, and cell phone recycling from Eco-ATM. During Saturday’s program (May1) ESCO will accept any electric item to be recycled. Items accepted free of charge include toasters, coffee makers, electric can openers, microwaves, vacuum cleaners, and VCRs. Monitors, TV, and LCDs will be accepted for .30 cents per pound. Large items and items with Freon, such as refrigerators and air conditioners will not be accepted. Doors open for the Expo portion of the event at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 30 and close at 5 p.m. On Saturday, May 1, doors open at 9 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. Among the workshop and activities included are a shoe drive for Souls 4 Souls, Coca-Cola recycling, rain-barrel making, gardening, healthy cooking, along with mad science, music, arts and crafts for the kids.
