Star Percussionist Paris Escovedo Join Grammy Nominated R&B Artist Jon B at The Key Club

Paris is the son of Thomas “Coke” Escovedo an original member of Santana. Coke Escovedo’s musical legacy influenced luminaries such as Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock.  He founded and performed in top-charting groups such as Malo and Azteca before his untimely death in 1986. Paris’ uncle is Pete Escovedo, (Santana) and is cousin to Sheila E. (Santana, Prince)  He has performed, toured and recorded with Arrested Development, Angie Stone, Pink, Collective Soul, and Malo.
The highly anticipated debut album from the next generation of Latin Jazz, The Paris Escovedo Project, is a trend setting global blend of Latin, Jazz, R & B, and Old School.  The 10 piece band is composed of seasoned professionals from different genres of music.  The Project is currently releasing their single “Latin Lady” on Universal Records and a music video of the same title.

Paris’s current projects includes a smooth jazz version of his father’s penned Santana hit “No One to Depend On.”  The band is currently in Denver for the 5 de Mayo Festival, one of the largest festivals in the nation.  The Key Club show is produced by Sean Healy and Jason Rothberg for Sean Healy Presents.
