Where can I buy the iPed Apad? Buying the iPed can be hard as supply is Scarce

May 31, 2010 - PRLog -- Ever since we first wrote about the iPed Apad, we have had a Gajillion emails asking us, “Where can you buy the Android iPed?”

Initially, we just reported on the ww.Apad.tv website and we found that there banner add went to ChinaGrabber.com. Upon getting to the site, we noticed many “Apad” models. The iPed is officially an Apad because it runs Google Android.

The several models that are available are Apad iRobot M003, M70003 iPed, Eken M003, and the M7 MID. Our favorite model is the Apad iRobot. The Apad M003 is a 7 inch google Android-running Tablet PC MID.  It boasts many robust features for its $219 price including:

According to news articles and people posting things on the internet, Despite its being released in early May, very few of the iRobot Apad units have been seen in the US, due to lack in the touch-screen panels that are bought in Taiwan and taken accrossed the border to Mainland China. The feature we like the most about the iRobot is it has a built-in Webcam for talking on Skype.

Other features include: microphone and stereo speaker for skype out. Touch screen with icon or menu drag features and auto rotation. Broadband Internet access, 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi Google chrome lite browser. Email, Word, Exel, PPT, PDF. M003 Apad Supports Fring, SkypeOut, QQ, MSN, Gtalk.

Our next favorite iPed Apad is the M7003 MID (a.k.a. M7 Apad). While it does not have a webcam, it is only $139-$149 USD or around $80 cheaper than the iRobot with about just as many functions. The M7 was released on May 29, 2010 and the next day bloggers  from Japan to the USA were blogging “Meet iPed, the Android iPad Alternative.”
