Indie Thursday Showcase occurs the first Thursday of each month in the main lobby of the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa (1755 N. Highland Avenue, Hollywood, CA 90028) The Showcase features music artists performing 20 minute sets from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM.  This unique and intimate event has become one of the hottest showcases in Los Angeles because of the industry who attend and the potential paid gigs for artists.  At each showcase, a panel of industry and VIP guests help select participating artists they feel should be hired by the hotel the following month.  This is one of the only opportunities in Los Angeles where independent artists are paid to perform original music in a high-profile Hollywood landmark venue.  Most music genres are accepted including pop, folk, light rock, Americana, jazz, reggae, instrumental, R&B/soul, etc.  Solos, duos, trios or acoustic ensembles with some light accompaniment (guitars, stand up bass, hand percussion, backing vocals, etc.) are booked.  

The venue features a beautiful Yamaha baby grand piano and a excellent state-of-the-art sound system.  There is never a cover charge, all ages are welcome and the food menu is wonderful.  

Seating is limited but there is plenty of space for the spill-over crowd.
