June 3, 2010 - PRLog -- The Paul Dubrule Hotel & Tourism School project in Siem Reap is the result of the personal initiative of Paul Dubrule, the French co-founder of the Accor group and a well-known international figure in the hotel & tourism industry.

He strongly believes that training and qualifications are the key to the future of each individual who can access them. In order to provide young Cambodians the opportunity to train in the skills of the hotel, restaurant and tourism industry, $1.3 million was spent to build a fully equipped, state-of-the-art training school. Opening with full enrollment in October 2003, the school offers 5 certificate programs: Cooking and Cuisines, Restaurant and Bar, Front Office and Reception, Housekeeping and Laundry and Travel and Tourism Industry Services.To reinforce practical and theoretical training, the school combines typical elements of a functional hotel with that of a college. There are 8 theory classrooms equipped with audiovisual aids and practice facilities include a mock-up hotel front office, lobby area and 3 mock-up guestrooms for accommodation training. The school stimulates a true hotel environment by having a laundry and linen room and meeting rooms. It also includes fully equipped training kitchens, a 100-seater restaurant, a bar and a terrace overlooking the central garden. The students are taught by qualified and experienced teachers selected from France and other areas of EuropeThe school offers recruitment services to match employers with enrolled students who also take a career preparation program to help them prepare and apply for work within the industry.The institution is an operating school and hospitality training facility with a few rooms actually available for real guests.

Members of the staff and students are delighted to welcome guests and those interested in seeing the hotel school. However, many services are reduced during the school and national holidays.
