CTWorks Community Resource Fair-Difficulty making ends meet? There are ways to “Stretch a Buck”

June 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Did you know that on May 15th, nearly 2,000 unemployed individuals in our region reached the 99 week unemployment benefits limit, and approximately 150 additional people will reach that limit every week for the foreseeable future?

Help is on its way.  There are resources available to help people who are having difficulty making ends meet.  CTWorks Community Resources Fair, taking place on Tuesday, June 15 from 10am – 2pm at the Bridgeport City Hall Annex located on 999 Broad Street will provide cost effective ways to help the unemployed stretch their money or find other resources.  People can learn more information about money saving tips, smart budgeting and investing, conserving energy, and more.  The event is free and open to the public.

Community partners are invited to reserve a table at the event providing information about how people can use your products/services to cut costs and save money.
