Wine and Design Debuts New Date Night and Pet Painting Classes in June

June 9, 2010 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, NC – Wine and Design, Raleigh’s first and only wine and painting party company, has added two new classes to their current June painting lineup.  Date Night will be offered on Saturday, June 12 at 6:30PM and Pet Painting will be offered on Monday, June 21 at 6:00PM and 6:30PM.  All painting classes will be held at Wine and Design’s studio located at 321 Bickett Boulevard in Raleigh.

Date Night is $35 per person and is offered to couples.  The class provides the opportunity for each partner to paint the other’s portrait based on his or her characteristics.  Wine and Design artist, Arianne Hemlein, will lead the two-hour painting session.  Hemlein is the owner of Designs by Arianne and has been creating wall murals for business and residential clients since 2002. Some of her most visible works of art can be seen on the walls of the Thales Academy in Apex, Java Five Coffeehouse in Cary, and the Goddard Schools of Fuquay Varina, Holly Springs, and Clayton.

The Pet Painting class is $45 per person.  Prior to class, attendees submit a pet photo, which is then transferred to a canvas in a ready-to-paint format.  Wine and Design founder and co-owner, Emmy Preiss, says that she is excited about these new classes and appreciates that Wine and Design is able to offer more diverse painting opportunities while staying true to the company’s philosophy of providing art that is suitable for both first-time painters, as well as more seasoned enthusiasts.

“When people go to our website, there are really surprised to find that Wine and Design offers more than just fruit-in-a-bowl painting options,” says Preiss.  “Visitors are genuinely amazed to see the breadth of art selections that we offer and the promise that they can complete a unique and personal art piece in just two hours.”

Wine and Design provides the canvas, cover-up, paints, paintbrushes, and corkscrew.  First-time painters, aspiring artists, or self-proclaimed pro’s browse the company’s website to find a painting they would like to replicate.  Paintings vary from koi to cubism and everything in between.  The session is led by a local artist that guides participants through a carefully orchestrated step-by-step process that promises a finished “masterpiece” at the end of the two-hour session.
