Raven Goodwin Is Headed Towards "HUGE" Success

June 23, 2010 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES, CA (JUNE 2010) Raven Goodwin is the feisty, spirited and brilliant young actress, best known for her stand out roles as Ivy on Disney’s Good Luck Charlie, Tangie in Nickelodeon’s Just Jordan, a young Mo’Nique in Phat Girlz and even a teen-aged Oprah Winfrey on the audience and critically acclaimed NBC sitcom, 30 Rock.  Raven is a rising star and she is about to hit it HUGE…literally.  Raven Goodwin joins the cast of ABC Family’s Huge, premiering Monday, June 28, 2010 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.  

Raven, a Washington, DC native, portrays Becca on Huge, a one-hour relationship drama based on the Alloy Entertainment book of the same name by Sasha Paley.  Huge is a heartwarming drama that focuses on seven teens from different backgrounds attending a weight loss camp as they embark on their individual journeys of self discovery. The series will follow the emotional journey of the campers as they deal with issues including self-esteem, friendship, rivalry, romance and body image.

Raven describes Becca as “the shy girl at camp.”  She lives vicariously through co-star Nikki Blonsky’s character “Will.”  Will says stuff Becca wishes she could.  Raven says, “Playing Becca is a total 360 from how I see me.”  Raven continues, “I can usually channel myself through the characters I portray, but not with Becca and it is a challenge but one I am keeping up with.”
