Allstate Sponsors Uncle Ken’s Kitchen

June 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Allstate agent John Mannara of Bethpage recently presented Dennis Berry and Pepper McSpice from Uncle Ken’s Kitchen with a check for $500 to fund their traveling education program on nutrition.

Education is the main focus of Uncle Ken's Kitchen, as children and their parents learn about delicious foods by seeing them prepared with care and good humor in fun and wholesome surroundings. According to the American Diabetes Association, 64.5% of American children are overweight. Childhood obesity is a major problem on Long Island and across the United States, and Uncle Ken's Kitchen aims to address this issue.
