By: Miss Teen World the Hilton Post Oak Grand Ballroom for the preliminary round of competition in swimsuit and evening gown. On Friday July 25, 2010 the Miss Teen United States-World pageant held the final show where the top 15 semi-finalists were announced and they were South Carolina – Hillary Bradshaw , Colorado – Heidi Hume, Arkansas – Morgan Miller, Kansas – Faith Tyrell, Tennessee – Chelsa Beasle, Massachusetts – Tamara Sacharczyk, North Carolina- Lindsey Baker, Michigan – Shelby Knafel, New York – Stephanie Frasca, Kentucky – Belle Owen, Indiana – Alexis Farley, Pennsylvania – Ashley Schmider, California – Jennifer Olmstead, Virginia – Elizabeth Barker, Nebraska – Tori Wadman, Ohio – Jordan Brown. These ladies competed in official swimsuits and shoes provided by Crown Couture. After the completion of the swimsuit competition the top 10 finalist was announced who would compete in evening gown they were: South Carolina – Hillary Bradshaw, Colorado – Heidi Hume, Arkansas – Morgan Miller, Kansas – Faith Tyrell, Massachusetts – Tamara Sacharczyk, Michigan – Shelby Knafel, New York – Stephanie Frasca, Kentucky – Belle Owen, Indiana – Alexis Farley, and Pennsylvania – Ashley Schmider. Upon the completion of evening gown the field was narrowed one more time with the top 5 they were New York – Stephanie Frasca, Kentucky – Belle Owen, South Carolina – Hillary Bradshaw , Colorado – Heidi Hume, Indiana – Alexis Farley. Next was the final question. After the last round of competition the special awards were announced. The Carolee Munger community service award went to Miss Massachusetts, Tamara Sacharczyk. The Spirit Award went to Miss Maryland - , Destiny Adams. Destiny Adams also received the non-finalist swimsuit award. Non-finalist evening gown went to Georgia – Amanda St. John, and Non-finalist interview went to Alabama – Morgan Palmer. Then the runner ups 4th runner up was New York – Stephanie Frasca, 3rd runner up Indiana – Alexis Farley, 2nd runner up was South Carolina – Hillary Bradshaw and 1st runner up was Colorado – Heidi Hume. Crowned by the outgoing Miss Teen United States-World 2009 Cassie Sumimoto of Honolulu, Hawaii, the new Miss Teen United States-World is Miss Teen Kentucky-World Belle Charles Owen, 15 years old of Paducah, Kentucky. Belle is a 15-year old high school student at Bridgeway Academy. Belle hopes to one day become an oral surgeon. Belle will spend her year traveling to various state pageants and special events promoting the Miss Teen United States-World Pageant and their motto “Be Your own Kind of Beautiful”. Michelle will compete with ladies from all over the world for the title of Miss Teen World this August in Houston, Texas. The pageant is scheduled for August 8-14, 2010 at the Hilton Post Oak Hotel. Miss Teen United States-World won a prize package valued over $30,000 including a $5,000 educational scholarship.
