Follow on Google News | Willie, a Homeless Kitten that Needs Your HelpMt. Pleasant Animal Shelter is seeking donations towards the medical and surgical needs of an abandoned, abused kitten.
By: Suzanne Griffin Willie was dumped at the Shelter in a box with no food or water one recent summer evening. Fortunately, he was found in time by one of the night crew. Willie arrived with such severe trauma damage to his right eye that it had to be surgically removed and could not be saved. The kitten had several other medical conditions that also needed attention and will require future follow up. In spite of all he has been through, Willie is an amazing kitten who seeks attention and loves to be held by the Shelter volunteers and staff. Mt. Pleasant is now asking for the public’s help in contributing to Willie’s care until he is fully recovered and old enough to be placed for adoption in a home that understands his special needs. This has been a particularly busy kitten season with many animals like Willie, needing medical attention. Additional funds are needed to be able to continue to provide the high level of care to homeless animals that Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter is known for. Contributions may be made securely online at www.njshelter.org or sent to Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, 194 Route 10 West, East Hanover, NJ 07936. Mt.
