Great Value Family Fun at Newton Abbot Racecourse This Summer

July 15, 2010 - PRLog -- As Newton Abbot Racecourse gear up for the final third of its 2010 racing season, there’s a family focus at the course for the remainder of the season, with the first race starting at 2:30pm on Sunday 18th July.

With schools closing for the summer holidays, parents are looking for inspiration on how to keep the children entertained during the summer holidays without pulling on the purse strings. Year after year the racecourse has proven to be a winner during the summer months with its great value admission prices.

A day at the races offers outstanding value for the whole family, with Course Enclosure tickets priced at just £10 and Paddock Enclosure at £16. Plus, all children under 16 are admitted free of charge, meaning a family of four can enjoy a day out from just £20.

To kick start the summer holidays racing fixtures, the tourism organisation Visit South Devon will be at the racecourse on Sunday, promoting some of the many tourist attractions in the region.

Joined by Pennywell Farm and Plantagenesta, Visit South Devon will be running a free prize draw where racegoers will be in with a chance of walking away with a family ticket for Pennywell Farm, a £100 voucher for genealogists Plantagenesta or a voucher for Go Ape at Haldon Forest.

Throughout the summer there’s plenty for the whole family to enjoy at the races. Whilst the adults enjoy the excitement of watching the horses thunder towards the winning post, the little ones are guaranteed to be entertained with the bouncy castle and giant jenga in the family area. Plus the Happy Days crèche operates on racedays for children aged 3 to 7.

Racegoers hoping to take advantage of the promotional offer are urged to book soon to avoid disappointment as the deadline for the promotion is Monday 26th July.
