Florida Fly Fishing Magazine Celebrates 1st Anniversary

July 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Florida Fly Fishing Magazine (http://flaflyfish.com/) celebrates one year of Internet publishing with the inclusion of a full color library of fishing flies used throughout the state. As Florida’s only publication dedicated to fly fishing exclusively in Florida—the Sunshine State—Florida Fly Fishing Magazine (F3M) features the best articles written about fly fishing in Florida and the tools and techniques employed in pursuit of gamefish in the fishing capital of the world.

“This project began more than a decade ago when I recognized the need for a publication dedicated to this great fishing venue,” said F3M founder and publisher Ed Maurer. “I wanted to publish a high quality paper magazine that could compete with other fly fishing magazines. Early in the process I found that I was not ready to dive into the world of publishing due to the high cost of print media. Many years later, after learning how to create digital publications I realized Florida Fly Fishing Magazine could become a reality. So, here we are one year later representing the entire region with the only magazine focused solely on fly fishing in Florida and businesses benefiting from tourism related to it.”

Florida Fly Fishing Magazine is currently in the process of developing a “Guides to:” business listing that will feature fishing guides, restaurants, lodging, tackle shops and other related businesses in Florida. The listing will be divided into regions within the state to make it easier for visitors to key in on businesses in the areas they will visit.
