Kleinhandler Signs “Contract from America”

July 27, 2010 - PRLog -- West Nyack, NY – Re-enforcing his already strong support among conservatives and fiscally-minded voters, Congressional Candidate York Kleinhandler signed onto the "Contract from America" earlier today.  The "Contract from America" is a grassroots organized set of pledges for current politicians and candidates to adopt in order to restore the principles of conservatism to government.  The ten point plan consists of promises to (1) Protect the Constitution; (2) Reject Cap and Trade; (3) Demand a Balanced Budget; (4) Enact Fundamental Tax Reform; (5) Restore Fiscal Responsibility and Constitutionally Limited Government in Washington; (6) End Runaway Government Spending; (7) Defund, Repeal, and Replace Government-run Health Care; (8) Pass an ‘All-of-the-Above” Energy Policy; (9) Stop the Pork; and (10) Stop the Tax Hikes.

"Some candidates like to promote themselves by throwing around the label of "conservative" but with my signing of the Contract this afternoon, I am not afraid to show everyone that I not only talk the talk, but I walk the walk in terms of being the true conservative voice in this election"  Kleinhandler stated.  "It is exciting to affiliate myself with some of the most promising candidates nationwide and also with some of the strongest voices in conservative leadership.  I know for a fact that when I get to Washington as the 17th District's next Congressman, we will able to make the goals of the "Contract from America" a reality.
