E Pluribus Kinko's now Available as E-Book

Dean Zatkowsky's entertaining tale of the democratic company culture that fueled Kinko's growth from a single shop to a $2 billion company is now available in Kindle format.

July 29, 2010 - PRLog -- E Pluribus Kinko's: A Story of Business, Democracy, and Freaky Smart People, is now available as an e-book.

The book, which chronicles the rise and fall of Kinko's through the prism of company culture, has been available in paperback since late last year. The Kindle version, now available at Amazon.com, retails for $9.99.

According to Zatkowsky, Kinko's democratic culture acted like a talent-magnet, and made the company more agile and innovative. The three pillars of the organization's democracy were its clearly articulated company Philosophy, its Partnership ethos, and its Pot-stirring leadership.

"Everyone knows that tyranny works as a corporate culture, because it has been the dominant model throughout the history of business," says Zatkowsky. "I want entrepreneurs to recognize that other options exist. You do not have to sacrifice your democratic values to succeed in business, and our experience at Kinko's shows how a democratic environment increases the engagement, creativity, and initiative of coworkers, customers, and communities."
