Aug. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- WASHINGTON — Homeland Security PoIicy Institute (HSPI) director Frank Cilluffo and associate director Sharon Cardash issued a Commentary today considering security implications as the U.S. mission in Iraq transitions from combat operations to civilian-led.  Citing the likelihood of a spike in violence in the short term as Al Qaeda in Iraq and Iranian-backed militias seek to prove their mettle, Cilluffo and Cardash detail the need and the means to consolidate the strategic and tactical gains of past months.
