Southern Flourish Magazine Heads to Charleston, South Carolina for Fall Issue Cover Shoot

Aug. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Southern Flourish, a 100% digital magazine dedicated to the chic, young and modern Southern lifestyle, is in Charleston this week to shoot its fall issue cover. A number of Charleston artists and small businesses are contributing to the shoot.

“We are so excited to be in Charleston,” said Kate Hash, editorial director of Southern Flourish. “The city is the perfect backdrop for our shoot and we are over the moon excited about the tremendous talent of the local artists and businesses that are contributing to the project.”

For the shoot, Southern Flourish is staging a small, but exceptionally chic, outdoor dinner party. Every element will be photographed and described so that the magazine’s inspired readers (which average around 100,000 per issue) can replicate the dinner this fall for their own friends and family.

The cover shoot will take place this Friday, August 27 at the gorgeous Cabell House Bed & Breakfast. Inside this charming Charleston family home, the antique furnishings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and broad verandas create an elegant and restful environment. The house’s quintessentially Southern outdoor porch will serve as the setting for the shoot. Local photographer David Despeaux will be capturing the event.

“In addition to our wonderful photographer David Despeaux, talented food stylist Cynthia Groseclose, designer extraordinaire Sarah Early of Dodeline Design, special event floral designers WildFlowers, Inc., and All Occasions Party & Event Rentals are all contributing their talents, energy and resources to the shoot,” said Kate Hash.
