Green Cleaning Guru, David Holly Interviewed About The Future Of Green Cleaning

Aug. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Rogers, MN – The cleaning industry has been experiencing a dramatic shift to “Green Cleaning” in recent years. Although there is nothing new about green cleaning, the industry has more widely embraced the concept in the past five years.

David Holly, a green cleaning consultant with the Ashkin Group, LLC, is one of the foremost experts on the topic. When asked if the green cleaning will be the “norm” in the industry in years to come, he replied, “Cleaning companies need to ask themselves; if I’m not doing green cleaning, what AM I doing? Isn’t cleaning for health and the environment what cleaning should be about?”

When it comes to green cleaning certification, Holly believes that not all cleaning companies need to be certified at this time unless they have customers seeking LEED Certification and are pushing for it. In addition, “Even if you don’t become certified right away, going through the steps of certification can help you put your company in a good position to assure you’re getting maximum productivity, and to insure that you are cleaning to protect occupants and the environment.”
