Aug. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- Seattle, WA - United States fans of the now-cancelled television show Legend of the Seeker are striking back with a new publicity campaign to raise awareness of the show and help build audience share.  Following on the publication of a new ad published in The Hollywood Reporter August 20, Seeker fans will be congregating at Atlanta's Dragon*Con.

Promotional materials to be distributed at conventions have been provided by the SaveOurSeeker.com Website, a fan-run site that has to date raised $26,000.00 to help promote the show to potential distributors and viewers alike.  Terry Goodkind, author of the Sword of Truth novels on which Legend of the Seeker is based, has autographed DvD sets for fans in a special promotional campaign.  Some DvD sets have been donated to libraries.

Seeker fan Kevin Bachelder from TheSeekerCast.com, a Website featuring a popular podcast about Legend of the Seeker and Sword of Truth, has been coordinating Dragon*Con activities for fans planning to attend the convention.  They have arranged for a Legend of the Seeker fan panel, a Con Suite party, a Seeker fan group in the Dragon*Con parade, and a photo meetup.  Seeker fans will be be distributing promotional materials designed and paid for by fans at the convention.

Seeker fans are busy organizing other promotional efforts through the LegendoftheSeeker.org's forum community.  College students will be distributing flyers on campuses, organizing Seeker viewing parties, and encouraging other students to join in the weekly letter writing campaigns.  A Convention Circuit discussion in the forums also helps publicize science fiction events that fans can attend and participate in with an eye toward promoting interest in the show.

Seeker fans also regularly discuss the show on blogs and Twitter.  Project LOTS More is helping to increase visibility for the show in the blogosphere.

Legend of the Seeker is based on the Terry Goodkind Sword of Truth novels.  Save Our Seeker and Save The Seeker are fan-created campaign slogans.  Although Terry Goodkind has expressed encouragement to the fans, the Save Our Seeker and Save The Seeker fan initiatives do not represent Pacific Renaissance Pictures, ABC Studios, or Terry Goodkind.  Legend of the Seeker and Sword of Truth are protected trademarks.

Operation LOTS More is a pro bono publicity campaign organized by Xenite.Org Publicity.  The campaign does not directly represent any Legend of the Seeker fans, Dragon*Con, Terry Goodkind, ABC Studios, or Pacific Renaissance Pictures.
