Dr. David J. Goldberg Named Chief of Dermatology at Hackensack University Medical Center

Aug. 31, 2010 - PRLog -- HACKENSACK, NJ --- Dr. David J. Goldberg, a world-renowned dermatologist and Director of Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York & New Jersey, has been named Chief of Dermatology at the Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC). The appointment became official as of September 1st according to Dr. Julius Gardin, Chief of Medicine at the hospital.  

A board-certified dermatologist with more than 25 years experience in practice, Dr. Goldberg is recognized around the world for his innovative work with cosmetic dermatology, skin lasers and facial rejuvenation techniques.  In addition to his position at HUMC, Dr. Goldberg also serves as Clinical Professor and Director of Laser Research  in the Department of Dermatology  at NY’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine; Chief of Dermatology and Chief of MOHS Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey; and Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham Law School.  In addition to his office at Hackensack University Medical Center, Dr. Goldberg also sees patients in his NYC, Hillsborough, NJ and Boca Raton, FL offices.

Dr. Goldberg has been a true pioneer in the dermatology arena, bringing innovative techniques and cutting-edge technology to patients around the world.  With expertise in both cosmetic and medical dermatology, Dr. Goldberg is one of the most highly regarded professionals in his field.  

A member of the Dermatology department at HUMC since 1999, Dr. Goldberg earned his medical degree with high honors from Yale University and completed his residency and fellowship training at New York University Medical Center.  Dr. Goldberg was named one of the “Top Ten Laser Surgeons in the U.S.” by Self magazine, one of the “Best Doctors in America" by Woodward White, a “Best Doctor in America” by Best Doctors, and one of the “Best Dermatologists in New Jersey” by New Jersey Monthly.  He has also received numerous awards, including recognition as the first recipient of the prestigious Leon Goldman Memorial Award, as well as the 2010 Sturge-Weber Foundation honoree.
