Americas Christian Foundation-US Constitution

Christianity is the faith implied in the United States Constitution in a couple of different areas but why do we not see more specific mentions?

Sept. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- That is a great question that is answered by looking at the State Constitutions. Many of them site the Christian religion. They also require oaths be taken professing a faith in Jesus Christ the Savior. They also state irreligious persons and atheists were not allowed to serve in public office. So why not more mention of this in the US Constitution?

Because when the country was founded it was a SMALL federal government with LIMITED rights enumerated in the US Constitution. This was done so they would not grow large enough to threaten state rights. Anything not specifically mentioned in the US Constitution states it belongs to each individual state to decide upon. The threat to states is why the federal Constitution was very specific in limiting the federal powers.
