Certified Professional Organizer® Helene Segura presents an interactive webinar for teachers across the country on how to conquer chaos and bring efficiency to their school day.

CT.  Attendees can listen to the live session via the Internet or a recording of the session.

"Teachers have a high pressure job.  In addition to making sure that their students receive the best individualized education possible, they must also balance their time with planning, grading, documenting, and other tasks and interruptions throughout the school day" said Helene Segura, Certified Professional Organizer® and owner of LivingOrder® San Antonio.

"There are a lot of great templates and tools out there, but often times they are just handed to teachers without any kind of instructions, so teachers feel lost.  'How do I implement this?  How do I use this planner to make better use of my time?'  It's important that we help teachers bridge the gap between knowing that they need organizational assistance and implementing what needs to be done," added Segura.

Segura is adamant about taking care of teachers because they are in charge of the minds of our children.  If communities do not find ways to help educators alleviate their workload frustrations, schools will continue to lose great teachers.  According to UtahFoundation.org, "Among movers (teachers who switched schools) and “leavers,” teachers were most often strongly dissatisfied with lack of planning time, large classes, and heavy workloads…."  Studies from educational think tanks like NOVA, the Alliance for Excellence in Education, and the National Education Agency as well as individual states like Utah and Texas show that up to half of all teachers leave the profession within their first five years of teaching.  Teachers need to be supported.

Certified Professional Organizer® Helene Segura will teach webinar attendees how to more efficiently use the precious minutes that they have during the school day.  She will also discuss paper management systems that teachers can implement.   Segura has been involved in the education world since 1993, when she began her career as a classroom teacher. While spending more than a decade in the classroom, she developed organizational methods for her colleagues to implement in creating high quality learning environments. Since 2003, she has presented training sessions to educators with teaching duties ranging from Pre-K4/special needs to senior Advanced Placement to itinerant support teachers.
