Chicago Medical Billing Company Using Unique Contest to Recruit New Sales Staff

Sept. 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Chicago—College students facing piles of debt and a tough job market may find relief in an innovative contest from Chicago-based medical billing company RMK Holdings Inc.  The firm, which helps medical and health care practices bill and collect payment from patients, is asking college students to enter a contest to see who can arrange the most qualified leads.

According to RMK Holdings, a qualified lead is a prospect—typically a doctor--who will make an appointment to listen to a demonstration of the RMK medical billing/electronic medical records system. To be considered a successful lead, the doctor must complete the demonstration.

RMK began this contest as a way to attract young, up-and-coming business professionals to its company.

“Finding good talent in the labor force is always a challenge for any competitive business,” said RMK Marketing Consultant Sue (Sunni) Patterson.  “We are essentially putting our money where our mouth is to attract aggressive, smart college students who might be interested in a career in sales or business.”

The contest features two prize levels, and it is very possible for one student to win both prizes:

* Student who presents 10 or more leads for physician groups with 3 or more physicians:   $3500

* Student who presents 20 or more leads for physician groups with 20 or more physicians:   $6500

“We anticipate this will not only provide us with access to a number of dynamic, creative ideas from college students, but it will serve as an excellent project for these students to compliment their education and classroom work” said Patterson said.
